TECHNICAL INFO
EPC exclusively uses ULTIMAX® Cement. The superior quality and unique properties of this product gives our Pre-Cast products many advantages over our competitors. Some benefits include:
- Higher Compressive and Flexural Strengths - 1,500psi @ 4hrs, 3,000psi @ 24hrs, 7,000psi @ 28 days.
- Shrinkage Free - Eliminates shrinkage cracks without the expansive issues and engineering requirements that accompany Type K cements.
- Low Permeability - Our products can obtain almost zero permeability. This is due to the high hydration water requirement together with sealing properties of the unique fine crystalline structure in ULTIMAX® Cement.
- Sulfate Resistant - Due to it’s special chemistry, ULTIMAX® Cement is sulfate attach free; no need for Type V cement for high sulfate conditions.
- Hardware Safe - Most Pre-Cast products use calcium chloride to accelerate the setting time, calcium chloride is highly corrosive and over time will damage any metals that come in contact with it. ULTIMAX® is non-chloride cement, safe for use with all inserts and installation hardware.
Pre-cast concrete is available in lightweight, normal weight and G.F.R.C.
